There’s an old saying about how time flies when you are having fun and that has certainly prove to be  true for me when ever I turned my time to Ceramics. Many, many years ago my Aunt Millie had a ceramica and pottery studio and introduced me to what would forever be my passion for all things pottery and clay. It was from her that I learned how to pour molds for functional ceramics, throw clay to create free form ceramics and hand building for more structured pieces. It was Aunt Millie that showed me how and what brushes to use to create beautiful one of a kind Ceramics.
As I learned from her and practiced on my own I too wanted to share what I had learned about Ceramics more so than showering my friends and family with my artistic Ceramic creations. I ultimately opened my own studio where I poured my own greenware, cleaned, painted, and fired not only my Ceramics but those of the students I now tutored. How exciting each class was as we worked our way through the art (and it is an art) of cleaning each piece, painting or placing decals and glazing each creation. My thrill came from opening the kiln to see what master pieces of Ceramic Art I had a hand in helping them create.
But life moves on and I became a passive participant and now I seek to rekindle my old passion and again share what I find new and exciting about the Art of Ceramics with others. I hope you will take the journey with me. This is an art that is ever changing.   There is so much more to learn, along the way I will be sharing the knowledge, the excitement, adventure on this website. I will include sources of ceramic supplies, techniques, paint, painting and glazing tips, working with bisque pieces as well the handling and firing of greenware.

The one thing I am discovering on this trip is that the internet while the source of much information it is often difficult to find especially when you are seeking something as specific Ceramics. I hope to alleviate some the stress of seeking and finding useful information and sources surrounding the wonderful world of all things clay.
